hey everyone! i'm super excited to share that this is my first blog post. i’ve been diving deep into content about startups lately, and i’m eager to share some of the insights i've picked up along the way. i’m going to keep things simple, because as paul graham says, simplicity is key.

validate before you build
one of the biggest takeaways for me is that validating your idea and finding paying customers should come first, way before you start worrying about your tech stack or how fancy your product looks. it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of building, but if nobody wants what you’re creating, all that effort is wasted. focus on proving that your idea is something people actually need and are willing to pay for.
ideas from the subconscious
i’ve also learned that ideas that come from your subconscious can be hit or miss. sometimes, you’ll strike gold, and other times, not so much. the key is to recognize when you’ve got something valuable and then go all in on validating it. don’t dismiss those random ideas—they might just be your next big thing.
build with minimal resources
when it comes to building, start small. you don’t need a scalable backend, a polished frontend, or multiple databases to get your idea off the ground. create a minimum viable product (mvp) with as few resources as possible. the goal is to get something out there, even if it’s rough around the edges, and see if you can attract even one user. if you can’t, all that fancy tech won’t matter.
solve real problems
problem-solving is another big focus. try to solve problems that you experience in your own life, or talk to others and understand their struggles. make sure you’re addressing a “need” rather than just a “want.” a solution that meets a real need has a much better chance of succeeding.
users aren’t experts
finally, remember that users are not experts. they might not always know what they want or how to use your product, so how you present your solution to them is crucial. make things simple and intuitive, and always keep the user experience in mind.
before i wrap up, i want to add that i’m not a startup founder—yet. i’m still exploring my way into this journey, learning as much as i can. maybe 1-2 years down the line, i can see myself working on something of my own. until then, i’m excited to keep learning and sharing my experiences with you all.
